Aww, say it ain't so.... losing a fur baby breaks my heart...((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fine testament to me. Bow wow!
ReplyDeletea sad morning?
ReplyDeletebest wishes. what a fine and kind companion.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely thing to say about her, Karin. I'd like to be more like her.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet photo of dear Phoebe. I'm sending you hugs too.
ReplyDeleteYes Phoebe had really expressive and wise eyes. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteI think it was Maya Angelou who said that only equals can be friends. Clearly, Phoebe was your best gal pal through and through.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences, I know how much this hurts.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you'll stop missing her.
ReplyDeleteI think this is the Phoebe face I know best of all. I must have seen it 10,000 times.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I worry quite a bit about how I'll handle this.
ReplyDeleteLovely! ;-(
ReplyDeleteNow there's an old soul. What a lovely lady. xoxo
ReplyDeleteAn intelligent, inquisitive look -- such a sweet girl. Sending hugs to you, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat else can you ask? Great face, by the way.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard. I know.
ReplyDeleteOh no - that's gotta be tough. Phoebe looks so, so sweet in that picture. Take care!
ReplyDeleteMost dogs like Phoebe are ones I trust to tell me the truth. Whether it is their opinion about someone, or how they are really feeling, I can see it in their eyes. If a dog won't look at me, either they don't trust anyone, or they've done something really, really wrong (ahem, like a Viszla we are taking care of that chomped a watch band (but left the watch), a box of truvia and some sort of candy I have no idea where she got them from).
ReplyDeleteLove the shot of Phoebe and it is obvious she loved you as much as you loved her!
wv: washot...instead of complimenting with real words, now when a blogger posts a great shot---"washot!" instead of gratuitous wordy-word stuff like "what a lovely shot!".
I'm glad you have this photo, KB. What a profoundly beautiful little lady. Big hugs.
ReplyDeleteDottie, Bella, and Cha Ki are with you on this. I wish I had their integrity.
ReplyDeleteThe best kind of friend to have.
ReplyDeleteNow that is unconditional love staring at us.
ReplyDeleteI know your bittersweet feelings when you look at those precious pictures.
ReplyDeleteThe word is EYELINER.
ReplyDeleteWV: pickner
She is always with you in spirit. They never leave us really....
ReplyDeleteI've always seen layers between a photograph and the moment. I'm so grateful for this one -- no layers at all. I'm in the office, working at the computer. And when I look up, she looks up. Like this. Just like this.
ReplyDeleteI have a dog that greets me every morning with tail wags and leg rubs. I will probably out live her. It'll be tough when I do.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your close friend.
I know you're kidding, Trish, but for those who don't know: some dogs won't look at you because of where they see themselves in the pack. Boz, for example, is not good at eye contact. He looks away not because he's guilty but because he doesn't want to challenge. He's low dog on the totem pole, the omega dog.
ReplyDeleteEye contact among dogs can be considered a challenge and many dogs won't do it for that reason. Phoebe was royalty and had no reason not to look anybody right in the eye.
We still miss Daisy...it's so hard missing a beloved fur family member...
ReplyDeleteThat's a royal bitch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet eyes. Dearest and lovely Phoebe... I agree with Canyon Cottage, "She is always with you in spirit. They never leave us really...."
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about my dear Flora... (sigh)
I am sending you many hugs.
These comments -- how lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Phoebe. She had such soulful eyes. You snapped the picture at the perfect moment.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. She was very special.
