  2. Beautiful photo! It's especially fun to see this image as I recently visited the gorgeous Cal Tech campus and also stopped to enjoy the fountain. I was there on a Saturday morning and there were no students out and about. I guess they were all asleep after staying up late studying.

  4. This is a prelude to the ball. Bellis is a guest at the Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm next month. How cool is that?

  11. I'll take what pictures I can - maybe sneak an iPhone into the midnight Nightcap Ball? The research that won the prize found out that our Universe is moving apart forever and ever, so when I get back you'll all be a bit further away.

  14. Ha! Brenda, you made me laugh.

Very cool photo. I wonder how the gene pool looks in the downpour this very moment.

As for Bellis - wow! Doesn't get much cooler than that.

  15. Now that this has become The National Smut Blog: Bellis, it's dirty work, but somebody's gotta.

  16. Aww, makes me lonesome for my old neighborhood. The Claremont colleges are cool but no DNA pool with fountains here.

  17. WooHoo!!! Congratulations Bellis!!! How cool is that???

I can honestly say that even though I grew up in Glendale and have lived there off and on throughout my adult life...I have never been on the Cal Tech campus...
    Dayam!!!
