Our viking funeral

My dog tags are really dog tags. I wear them whenever I need good luck or courage. Phoebe's tag is now with two of Bru's. And always a St Christopher's medal for safe passage.

And then, a bit of music that Phoebe and I always enjoyed together.

Cast away, dear girl, if that's the way things have to be.

  5. Listening to the music and watching the photos I kept thinking that Daisy might just be playing with Phoebe in some ethereal fields of grass and flowers...May they frolic in peace...

  6. I have all of Boz's tags. I've kept them over the years. When he gets new tags each year I add the old ones to this chain I keep. I've been keeping souvenirs of him since the moment he arrived in our house.

  11. Ireland's music is lovely, but I'm currently in the pissed off phase. I'd better depart before I say something ugly.

  14. I know your pain. We buried Thor with his lobster and elephant. Bringing toys across the rainbow bridge seemed like a good idea. I am so sorry that you lost Phoebe so quickly.

  15. It's so sad that we outlive our dogs over and over again. So is Phoebe in Valhalla now? Will you get the ashes? I have two lovely boxes containing Tessa and Ginger downstairs - still not sure where to scatter them.

The music and pictures make me homesick.

Hope you're coping with the empty space in your house and heart. It takes time, lots of time.

  17. You know, the thought that Phoebe had real and virtual friends around the city and state and globe, has given me great comfort. People noticed her presence and her passing. For that, I thank you deeply.
