Where's Ice House Canyon? Looks like Switzer's.

Ice House Canyon has a nice, refreshing ring to it. Looks like your friend enjoyed her plunge.

Who could that be? I like the last photo. Actually Mr V and I were up that way this evening. Checking out the campground and lifts. Shaking hands with the big trees.

It's going to be in the 90's this week -- I know where I'll be on Wednesday.

(I told Ms Anon I wouldn't post the photo. Don't tell her, ok? We, including you and me, weren't exactly dressed for a photo op.)

Your secret's safe with me, KB. Looks nicely refreshing!

90's? Perfect Fall weather here - waiting for the colors to change. S'posed to be perfect conditions for brilliant hues this year.
And I'm working in black and white?

Love the photos. That water's icey, icey cold! I took the Caltech hiking group there last week, but no-one was brave enough to try a toe-dip.

Look fun. And cold! Have never been there.

I didn't take the plunge either, Bellis. I was too busy eating an egg.

Can't wait to go back. This time I'll pack two eggs and hike into the wilderness area.

You hate eggs, remember?

Joy, joy, joy!

altadenahiker said...

Oh, yes. Best picture I've ever taken. I can't catch bees in a rose, but I caught joy. (Yes, it was entirely by accident, but let's not quibble.)

Yep, looks like joy, all right. And the water looks cold. (What does it mean for water to look cold? But it does).

I've never heard of this place.
What a great name!

Any illusions I had of being slim and graceful have been dispelled. Joyous at moments is a good consolation.
