Garbage In, Garbage Out (if we're lucky)

I needed two long leggy supermodels to jazz up my Patch article this week, so put out an SOS to neighbor Courtney.

Cute overload. So sue me.

If you want to know why da guys, Hartwell and Beckett, are in (perfectly clean, never-been-used) trashcans, then you'll have to read the piece.

These two have earned some serious cookies. I'll get my people on that straight away.

Too cute. There's no way we can keep away from your Patch article.

That was so fun Karin!

I asked the boys what kind of cookies they wanted:
Hartwell: Chocolate chip!
Beckett: Gummi bear!

Beckett always has to be different.
And make up imaginary cookies.

Loved both articles. Probably see you around with a measuring tape.

Great smiles, and great names to match.

Darling. But so demanding. Cookies! What'll they want next?

I also want Gummi Bear, but only in yellow color. Please!

And, welcome after. Some had shiny trash barrels several decades ago. Now they are only trash barrels.

It was trespassing on your turf, wasn't it PA.

I got an email from the trash company general manager. He was very nice, but wants kids to know these new bins aren't toys. (Judging from the good time we had yesterday, I better should target the adults.)

somewhere, there is a picture of me in my grandparents new trash cans. I think we gave them to them for holidays or something (what DO you get elderly folks who have anything they could want?), back before cans were provided by the company. Never once thought of them as a toy, especially after a few "usings" and they had the odor of raw chicken juice cooked in a plastic barrel placed outside for a month in the hot sun.

wv--an editors nightmare: hershe (pick ONE!)

Did you have to pay these two??

It was a photoshoot, not a toy game. Those kids were great models. I wonder if a gummi bear cookie would be possible, or do those shapes melt in the heat?

Too cute fir words. I'm on cute overload from all the adorable kids going back to school. So much shiny hope and promise.

Thanks for the Patch piece and the cute boys. Personally, I thought, Hallelujah! no more three or four days of trash bins on street!

Yah.
I am surrounded by neighbors (5) who are currently leaving their bins on the street.
Frack.

So darling. And they are at an age when modelling (even in trash cans) is still cool.
But the title made me think...how much garbage do parents throw in? it that what they get out when the boys hit 16? OK, OK...I'll stop thinking those kind of thoughts.
Off to read Patch now.

Excellent idea to use these adorable kids to indicate the parameters for the new bins. The rules sounds incredibly complicated though. Maybe if you scratch "I'm an agave" in a few different languages onto the agave leaves you'll avoid horticultural hissy fits amongst the trash inspectors.

P, Brenda, and Earl (via Patch) -- the kids look Dutch, but they're half Norwegian, ergo COOKIES!

Bellis, if you could work out a recipe for this...Beckett was unimpressed by the chocolate chips.

Des, yeah, well. But I've got 9 trash bins in the driveway. We'll see what it looks like next week.

Tash, aw, me thinks someone has a 16-year old.

Trish, for the person who has everything, err on the side of the pragmatic. With a ribbon and a bow.

Katie, that's brilliant. I'll do it, and take a picture. Je suis une agave.

I like the static electricity tree branch hair style on Hartwell. Or is that Beckett?

I have 9 bins too. A bit of an eyesore, aren't they?

Latino Heritage said...

Definitely cute boys, but watch out for the blond...mischievous twinkle in his eye.

Trish said...

K---we did exactly that---put a bow on them each, hid them in the garage and sent my grandparents on a hunt for their presents!

and it gives new meaning to "Garbage In, Garbage Out"

wv: smacti---something some parents of teens think of when the going gets rough!

Your garbage contractor (oh, sorry, refuse and recyling environmental technician) sent you an E-mail?

Have you been contributing to the negligence of Altadena juveniles?! I suppose you'll be teaching them disdain for bicycles next, our only hope for a green future. I am shocked, and appalled.

. . . Montana, here I come.

These children are why grandmothers and old aunts have a bad reputation for pinching cheeks. How can you not pinch? (grammatically incorrect...I know)

Fun garbage. Did they get their cookie yet?

altadenahiker said...

Oh, everyone's worried whether the kids got their payday. Yes! But now I'll have to look at the contract, the fine print, to see if I owe residuals.

Mister Earl said...

Cookie residuals = crumbs?

Trish said...

just remind the kids---residuals in the can are NOT worth eating!

wv: iickifkf the sound one makes should one consume a residual from a used refuse can!

Kids. Always up for anything!
