On balance, I'd say the Altadena Event went pretty damned well. For my part:
There were some crowd control issues. I had to ask Petrea (left) and her entourage to stand back
I wasn't jealous
Instead, I spent my time, wisely, in self promotion
In spite of which, some people feigned total indifference.
When things got hectic, I had an escape route
It was actually a very good turn out as the night went on, and congratulations to the Altadena Arts Coalition, and thank you to Websters and the other merchants for putting this together. Let's do it again.

I wish I could have made it. Everything around you turns to gold. Whatta guy you are.
Overall, it appears the big event went very well. Judging by your pics, jealousy was kept under wraps and even electricity was uninterrupted for a nite. Congrats for making this Alameda's event of the year!
The wee one and I drove up around 4:30 and it was totally empty on Lake. She was cranky and I was confused so we came back home. I knew we should have gone later.
very fun to enjoy your night and experience in photos and humorous lines. you have quite the wit. Thanks for your comments on my site about the colorful sunset photo. I have my nightscape series going for the next few days. I have a saguaro at night painted with light on long exposure up today and will have moon photos up for the next three days.
Was Petrea the checkout girl? I'll have one of those TRiple Dip Chillers and a legal pad please.
Your portrait of the little girl is terrific. Love the light on her hair!

Free Beer? I didn't see any. When I showed up you two were in a sugar comma brought on my the excessive consumption of milk duds and hershy bars.
I'm glad things picked up.
I didn't know you were participating in the stink eye challenge. It's a toss up really, still, the goat has a beard so...

Yes Virg, Petrea is in green. The other two were her fans.
Virg, isn't Rosie the sweetest? Yay, I took a good photo!
Laurie, you were missed, but I can understand the confusion.
And PA, so glad you stopped by. Things really picked up around 8.
Julie, thanks for the visit, I will certainly have another look. Cdot and CO, Petrea didn't sense a thing.
PJ: You got my goat.
Is it possible that your beauty and intimidatingly brilliant wit kept some fans at bay?

Funny writeup.
And that really is feigned indifference, if ever I saw it.
No, I was their fan.
And there was chocolate. The pictures and story make me smile.

"Disapproving Rabbits" is a giggle.
Congratulations on winning the Mystery History contest, pretty lady.
Karen, thanks so much for helping make the Altadena Arts Coalition's North Lake Open House such a brilliant success!
Fun never stops Altadena way!
LOL & congrats on a successful afternoon/evening.
Bloggers gone wild...kinda. ;) Glad the event was a success!
Always good to have an escape route. I like being covert. The Free Beer helps, can I collect now?
I SO wish that I could have seen you celebrity bloggers. And more! Sounds like a great time.
